Victor Yanukovych promises to protect interests of the Crimean Tatars. The president of Ukraine has told about it in Strasbourg, answering questions of delegates of Parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe.
«The state policy in relation to the Crimean Tatar population last years is insufficient, and it should be corrected», — Yanukovych has told.
As he said, «in the near future» the special national program will be prepared and the administrative body which will watch its realization is created.
«Here there is a leader of Crimean Tatar Medzhlis Mustafa Dzhemilev (Dzhemilev — the delegate the PACE from the Supreme Rada). We are very well familiar, and in the history of our relations there was a possibility to be convinced from two parties that we always adhered to what spoke», — Yanukovych has told.
