Ilmi Umerov has agreed to tell to the correspondent of the Crimean news agency about the priorities as head of RSA, and also about plans for forthcoming local elections.

— Ilmi Rustemovich to what now will concentrate the work in the Bakhchsarai area?

— I for five years have well enough studied a situation in region, therefore I consider that basically it is necessary to concentrate on economic problems and attraction of investments. After all, when people have work and a stable salary, they become kinder and quieter.

— Will something concrete do for the Crimean Tatars?

— I spoke five years ago and now I will tell that anything specially for the Crimean Tatars it is not necessary to do, it is necessary not to suppose only discrimination to a national sign. The Crimean Tatars can easy compete on a labor market and in other public spheres.

—Will political heat in the Bakhchsarai region fall down with your purpose ?

— I think that deputies who supported me and declared readiness ahead of schedule to combine powers (in case I would not be appointed to the post of the head of Bakhchsarai RSA), now won’t do it. I also know by name people who didn’t want purpose of the Crimean Tatar, purpose of Ilmi Umerov didn’t want particularly, but I think that we will find common language. I will try, that in region all was stable.

— How do you estimate refusal of representatives of Medzhlis to meet the president?

— From the moral point of view of Mustafa Dzhemilev and Refat Chubarov have arrived correctly; tactically, probably, have made a mistake.

— How it will affect mutual relations of Medzhlis with the power?

It will complicate relations and will remove possibility of following contacts.

— Local elections approach, don’t want to go again in deputies of the Crimean parliament?

— To tell the truth, haven’t thought yet. I am a member of Medzhlis, such questions dare at Kurultaj. If Kurultaj decides and so it will be necessary, then I will go. If I am the head of regional administration it is, of course, more convenient to be the deputy of regional council that at decision-making to have a voice. I consider, to be the last in republic, it is better to be the first in area.

— How many deputies can Medzhlis lead under lists NRU in autonomy parliament?

— I think that five people. If there will be 50 districts on them can be the elite one, two representatives of the Crimean Tatars. I think that in Belogorsky and Kirovsk areas.

— And what about Bakhchsarai?

— No, the Crimean Tatar population is small. We are appreciable there only at the expense of the activity.
