The worship cross established initiatively, without the coordination with the authorities and local residents of village nearby Alma-Tarhan (nowadays v. Vilino) the Bakhchsarai area on Monday has been dismantled and transferred on territory of a local orthodox temple. The chairman of the council of atamans of Crimea, the deputy of the City Council of Bakhchisarai Sergey Jurchenko has informed on it.

According to Jurchenko, the local community which at first and initiated its installation has refused struggle for a cross. «To an orthodox community it is not necessary, to inhabitants of village Vilino — too. We were ready to help, but if the village has not wanted to protect itself — excuse», — the ataman ascertained.

«We were ready to defend a worship cross and even offered a community that Cossacks have redeemed it and protected as the property, but were refused», — the ataman has noted.

A bit different opinion have stated in the youth organisation «Local initiatives of development». In association consider that the conflict between the orthodox and Muslim communities, arisen because of the Bakhchsarai area established in village Vilino of a worship cross, is because of someone’s political interests.

In the organisation have explained that the cross was established for Orthodoxy development in region, after preliminary coordination and reception of blessing of the local priest. Unfortunately, it has led to political opposition with local Moslems.

Thus, according to representatives of public organisation, in the given conflict the interests were pursued also by a management of Association of Cossacks of Crimea to which «WORLD» has addressed for the help in maintenance of night protection of a cross. «The situation has shown, when there have gathered to two hundred Cossacks from different corners of Crimea, their management already has solved all itself, and it doesn’t want to co-ordinate with anybody», — have declared in the organisation. Also have added: «Participation of Cossacks in this dispute only strengthened intensity which we and local authorities tried to stop».

In this connection in «WORLD» believe that our society did not leave yet on that level of development when values and belief of one do not meet negation and intolerance of others.

In the organisation also have specified that the cross is established in centre Vilino and will be shortly solemnly consecrated.

Under the information , of law enforcement yesterday carrying over of a five-metre cross has passed without public order infringement.
